Guidelines
Guest Guidelines for a Great Stay
At Jellystone Park™ Columbus North, our guests are known for their kindness, courtesy, and spirit of fun. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a full-season adventure, these shared guidelines help us maintain the safe, clean, and family-focused atmosphere we’re proud of.
Wristbands
-
All registered guests must wear their park-provided wristband during their stay.
-
Wristbands help us ensure amenities and attractions remain exclusive to our camping guests.
-
Guests not wearing a valid wristband may be asked to stop by the Ranger Station so we can get them checked in and back to the fun.
Campfire Fun Done Right
-
Campfires are welcome in the designated ring at your site.
-
Please keep flames at a cozy, manageable height—no bonfires or oversized fires.
-
Fire bans may occur during extremely dry weather.
-
To protect our trees, outside firewood is not permitted. Firewood, color-flame packs, and fire starters are available at the Ranger Station.
-
Moving firewood, even from nearby, can introduce invasive pests—thank you for helping keep our forest healthy!
Sharing the Outdoors
-
Please store food, coolers, and trash securely—this helps protect both wildlife and your snacks.
-
Avoid leaving food, trash, or pet bowls outside overnight.
-
Bagged trash can be placed at the end of your site for curbside pickup from 8 AM–11 PM. After 11 PM, please use a designated dumpster.
Enjoy Responsibly
-
Guests 21+ may enjoy alcoholic beverages at their campsite.
-
When moving through the park, please use a koozie or another non-glass, non-breakable container.
-
Glass is not permitted in or near water attractions.
Welcoming Visitors
-
Visitors are welcome and must check in at the Ranger Station upon arrival.
-
Day-use fees may apply depending on arrival time and amenities used.
-
Visitors must follow all campground guidelines and depart by 10 PM.
-
Visitor wristbands are required while onsite.
Keeping It Clean
-
Please empty gray and black water only at your site’s sewer hookup or the dump station.
-
All sewer connections must be tightly sealed using a sewer donut or threaded connector.
-
Ground disposal of wastewater is prohibited by state law.
-
Generators are not permitted—our full-hookup sites provide all the power you need.
-
Charcoal must be placed in your site’s fire ring once fully extinguished.
Family First — Always
-
Kids enjoy their stay best when a trusted adult is nearby, especially at the pool, lake, playground, and activities.
-
Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all water attractions.
-
Helmets are required when children are biking or scootering around the park.
-
Please observe all posted speed limits and directional signs—kids at play come first.
-
Carry a flashlight after dark; it helps keep you safe (and makes finding fireflies easier!).
-
Thank you for helping keep the park friendly, respectful, and family-centered.
Four-Legged Campers
-
Pets must remain leashed and attended at all times—no unsupervised outdoor time.
-
Limit two pets per site unless otherwise approved.

A $300 cleaning fee applies if pets are brought into non-pet-friendly units.
Aggressive Pets
-
If a pet displays aggressive or protective behavior toward guests or staff, we may ask owners to make alternate arrangements for everyone’s safety.

-
Service animals are welcome throughout the park.
-
Only animals individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability qualify as service animals.
